Yes it is true. With the advent of power steering those things slowly faded away. There is a reason that they are also called knuckle busters. If you have ever had a steering wheel jerk out of your hand you can see where this is going. That steering wheel would come around and smash into your hand causing you to utter all kinds of bad things. They could make a grown man cry.

So I bought myself a spinner knob, thinking it would make it a lot easier to back into docks but as I am installing it the driver next to me ask me if I was new to d industry, I reply yes, he tells me it's illegal in some states and I can get a ticket, some shippers n cons will tell u to remove it, It's this true?, thanks for ur answers, ......out
