What about Schneider equipment when you first started out?

The equipment is pretty good. Is mostly freightliners but there are a few Kenworth and Internationals out there. Mostly for much more experienced and trusted drivers. Now, many drivers do not treat company trucks (or their own trucks if they own one) well. The maintenance people always clean and deodorize the trucks for the next driver as well as they can but if the last person was a chain smoker that never rolled down the windows or ventilate then it is much harder. Now this problem is anywhere you will go. No company is free of this. Schneider equipment overall is good and well maintained. If there's a maintenance coming up or due soon they will let you know, send you to a terminal and have it done.

A little advice. No matter the company you go, inspect the truck inside and out, write down, report and have all deficiencies you see no matter how small or stupid it may be. You will be the one driving the truck and not them.

Terminal:

A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.
