Dan, let me start by saying, what works for one isn't always gonna work for another! I'll tell you how I have got it down and am not so nervous anymore.

1 study your butt off. I picked a video I liked of someone doing it. After I watched it a couple times to get the feel for it, I would wait till the guy walked up to an area then pause it, say the stuff needed, unpause and check myself, then move on to the next area. Once I got that down, I started watching it on mute and saying it all myself as he pointed.

When we got to school and the instructors gave us the sheet, I went through it to see what was different than the video I had been using, there were a few differences. I went over it on the truck a couple times. During lunch I had my classmates check me on it and I put the paper in my pocket and did it all from memory. After lunch, I had the instructor check me and I nailed it. He was amazed that I had it down and they had only given us the checklist a few hours before.

That worked for me....good luck!
