Hey Ted! I was a dock worker at estes for about a year and a half and they also taught me how to switch (yard jockey) so I did that from time to time! The hiring process should be quick but remember to continually call and ask them. Don't just assume they know you want the job, show them you want the job even after your first interview! The grace of God was on me coming in there. I had my first and second interview the same day and was hired immediately in a week and a half to two weeks I had my drug test results! So hey man just call and continue to be persistent! It will pay off.!

I applied for a dock worker position a month and half ago. I had the interview with Richmond at first then 2 weeks later had a interview at the local terminal. From people I know there they said my information had been sent back to Richmond for the back ground check, that's been over a month ago. Does anyone know how long the process should take? Thanks in advance.
Terminal:
A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.
