That was good of you to get out and help. I feel for the guy, I don't like blind side backing.
This is why I do not blind side if I can help it. If I can't help it, I goal like crazy.
I had a similar thing happen a few years ago. It was around midnight at the Iowa 80, and another driver tried to pull nose first into the spot next to me. He cut the angle just a hair wtong, and the front corner of his trailer bumped the rear corner of mine. The poor guy was frantic and freaking out like he'd just run over my dog or something. Of course, it didn't help that by the time I got dressed and out to see what had happened at least a half dozen other drivers were crowding around and hollering that I should call the cops and call a lawyer and sue everyone in the known universe. *smdh* The only "damage" was a scuff on the corner of his trailer. Mine was fine. I told the guy to relax, it wasn't anything, told all the loudmouth schnooks to go back to their sleepers, and went back to bed.

Scene: Tight small TS parking lot at 1230 hrs in the rain. One overhead lot light not working. 2 open spaces next to us.

Maneuver attempt: Blind-side 90
Result: BUMP!.....
Moral to story: Don't attempt a JDLR (Just doesn't look right) etc etc..
We of course woke up, went out to help poor fellow. Our cow guard saved the right front.. Also he was creeping slow. All good, tired driver off road for some rest..
