Nice! I'm a flatbedder too and I always notice those pretty black TMC trucks. The company seems to tale pride in their rides. Good for you on your solo status.

HOS:

Hours Of Service

HOS refers to the logbook hours of service regulations.

Welcome to the flat bed community! I'm still really green at this, but you will find the learning curve is pretty steep. I spend way too many nights without a shower, but sometimes that is the price you pay to be able to make deliveries and money. It is better now that the weather has cooled off. However, about the time you are enjoying the cooler weather you get a load out of southern GA and sweat your butt off just walking around the truck. With Melton we don't get to wash our rides quite as often, but I do make sure the inside is clean since that is where I spend my "quality" time.

Good luck with your knew extended family. If you see a Melton truck with 9118 on the fender, stop and say hi; I will be looking for your truck, too.

Sorry it took so long to respond, I love flatbedding. I can't explain it but there is something so satisfying about a good tarp job, delivering to muddy jobsites, navigating tight steel mills, and everything else that comes with it. I feel good at the end of (almost) every day.

Hey Steve, you have great info on TMC, very helpful. I live near metro Detroit and had a couple questions for you. How is your home time? They advertise every weekend your home if that is true how long are you actually home. TMC looks like a very good flatbed starting company. Also are you going to be doing training for TMC, seams like you would make a great trainer.
