Peeing behind a trailer at a truck stop??? I'm speechless and for the life of me can't fathom it. What was wrong with the rest room inside?

I had a male company trainer. He simply asked me to let him know if I was leaving the truck during the night. Often he'd get up and walk inside with me and would give me tips on do's and don't s to stay safe when walking around a truck stop while we were walking. Eventually, I'd just go inside on my own and felt comfortable doing that.

Very important is situational awareness. Pay attention to your surroundings. NEVER walk between trucks/trailers and walk around the ends of the rows where you are well seen and heard by others. Never walk too close to the front of a truck (like at a fuel island) because unless you are really tall, you won't be seen and could easily get run over. Little things like that make a big difference in staying safe.
