I attended TDI and I believe it's 180 hours. Classes where Monday - Saturday 0700-1700(5PM). We did a full week of classroom training, studying, and finally getting our permits on Friday of week 1. Week two was some about 60/40 between Yard training and road time. Practice straight back, alley dock, cross dock, etc. I forgot that during week 1-3 you practiced PTI's a ton. Finally week 3 was much longer driving time the split changed to 70/30 driving then yard training. So you ended up getting some good hours driving.

Will this 100% prepare you for the real world..no. That's where a driver trainer at whichever company you hire on with after graduation takes over for the 2-infinity weeks of training. Till you get it..Or don't and that's it.

Hello everyone, my name is Rick and I am currently in a similar program in the state of Illinois. This thread has definitely helped a lot. I have many of the same questions that was originally posted which is great! But unfortunately mine requires contact information. Is there anyway someone could help me please? Thanks everyone!
