What you will need: A roll of white shop towels (the paper ones) try an auto parts store, tho I get them at ACE hardware. These rolls are huge, so you will have plenty for a long time.

a bottle of baby shampoo...scented or not. I like the scented

a plastic box with lid that the width of the towels will fit in ( like kleenex fit in their box)

ok...fill your box about 1/4 or more full of hot water...add about 2 tablespoons of baby shampoo. Mix it up real well. then start layering your towels in the water, one at a time fold them so you will be able to find an edge when you want to grab one. Push them down in the hot water as you go...you will know when your are done !!

These will make you feel clean, refreshed, and sooo nice. AND since its baby shampoo, it has no phosphoric acid, so it won't burn or chafe your skin. And for some weird reason, baby shampoo gets the worst of the worst grease and grime off....I have used these trucker wipes to scrub my hair...works well !! So try these, I think you will like them MUCH better than baby wipes. You can also take "the Makin's" on the truck with you, and make up a new box in the restroom, or shower room...

ALSO...I really like the liquid baby powder for alot of different reasons...It soothes heat rash, chafed skin, rashes, etc...but it also works for those of you who have greasy hair, and can't get to the shower to wash it. You just rub it thru your hair, let it dry, and the powder in it soaks up the grease, and when you brush it out the grease leaves with it !!! cool huh....

I unfortunately have no oil in my hair...so I have to add it to keep my hair from being brittle..go figure.

I am going to have to try that liquid baby powder for hair trick. My hair is oily the day after I wash it. Drives me nuts!

This is something I use for the smelly rash. We all know which one I am talking about if you drove in heat for any amount of time.

First I gently wash the affected area. Don't use harsh soaps, baby soap does work the best on this. Dry thoroughly using a gentle patting motion. Next I put on a mixture of vaseline and tea tree oil. 1 tsp of the oil in 1/4 cup of the vaseline. It works wonders. Also helps on scratches, cuts, and any other sort of scabbed over wound.

I'm a firm believer in good old tried and true Bag Balm....I like it cuz it works perfectly for the rash...and I do know about those...and its medicated. I also use it for a base for a few other concoctions I mix up, both for my critters, and for me !! Also....I can't use eye drops...visine burns the crap out of my eyes...so when I need something for irritated, scratchy eyes, be it from allergies, smog, dust, or to many late night driving stints....I mix 1 teaspoon of regular baking soda in 8 ounces of cold water (use bottled water, to be safe). mix it up and keep it in your fridge. a few drops in your eye....and its a miracle !!!!cool, soothing, and perfectly natural. What the soda does is naturally balance the ph in your eyes. When you get an eye irritaion, the ph in your eye gets all weird, from you body throwing to much saline to your eyes...to wash out whatever is bugging them. By using baking soda, it balances the ph, and soothes your eye !!!

I am an experienced truck driver, but a new member to this site so I'm quite excited to hear about a forum that is dedicated to truck drivers. I like your post about the baby wipes, that is a great idea. I actually like the use Anti Monkey Butt during those long drives across country because they works quite well when you have to sit the the same place for a while. I used having really bad chaffing during these 40 hour drives because my skin was very sensitive. My butt chafing would be so bad I couldn't sit down when I drove. I would put soap and it would sting a lot and not help the rash at all. Anti Monkey butt has a super formula that helps, but I actually use the lady formula for sensitive skin. (I don't care that I'm not a lady, ain't nothing worse than having to walk like a penguin cause it hurts so bad.) But I do like the baby shampoo that gets the grease out, I got a couple of stains in the rig that I have been meaning to get out. I appreciate the advice everyone!
