This morning I was told that my company will no longer be accepting cdl holders fresh out of school. I was told that by the gentleman who oversees equipment assignments, not our safety/training department. Apparently they will accept drivers with at least 3 months experience and require them to go out 2 weeks with a trainer. As has been customary, any driver with 6 months or greater won't go through training and just attends orientation.
