My crazy encounter on the Oklahoma Interstate-40 on February 10, 2014...biggest truck pile-up I've ever seen in my life and longest traffic build-up I hopefully may ever see...lucky to be going in the opposite direction.

Actually did not show what happened to start the pile up but you know what I saw when I watched the video? A big truck being towed cause he was following to close and hit the person in front of him......big trucks in 45 degree angles cause that was the only way to avoid the vehicle they were following to close. Many big trucks on the shoulder cause that was their only way to avoid those in front of them.

Regardless of what started the pile up the proof is on film that people that are trained how to drive these big trucks fail at life and their job. Simply no excuse for it.

Agree with guyjax. The most effective and easiest thing we can do as professional drivers to avoid accidents is. . . Increase following distance! Following too closely won't get you anywhere faster except into the hospital or casket.
