Glad it didn't turn out too bad for you. Those mirrors popping back into place is a nice feature, had to do that once myself after a similar situation.
Those dang Chicago guys!!

So I'm parked at the Love's in Rochelle, IL sitting on my bunk eating my dinner with the drapes closed enjoying the A/C. All of a sudden I feel a hard bump and the tractor shakes, and I think, "Someone just bumped into me"
Next I go up front and I see the guy pull up, and then floor it right into my driver side and take out both my mirrors! Then he pulls forward and starts backing again and ends in the same spot after I and the guys on both sides of me hung on the air horn he finally stops.
Afterwards this nice Indonesian kid comes out and says "Oh my I'm so sorry about this!!!" I calmly said you can't back that quickly and you need to take your time." He kept apologizing and and I told him it's done with and **** happens".
In the end it was not nearly as bad as suspected. Hood mirror and West Coast mirrors popped back (breakaway feature), the west coast mirror cover was destroyed, and he damaged my brush guard. Got his carrier insurance info, filled out the accident report and maintenance cleared me the next morning to drive the truck after reviewing the pictures.
He had 2 trucks waiting on him and that was his excuse for being in a hurry and he said he knew he had 2 empty spaces and though I was the 2nd empty space and misjdged the spaces behind him and didn't GOAL (so he floored it twice in reverse)
Small private carrier from Chicago. They must not believe in G.O.A.L. and rather practice F.I.L.G. (F**k It Let's Go)
TWIC:
Transportation Worker Identification Credential
Truck drivers who regularly pick up from or deliver to the shipping ports will often be required to carry a TWIC card.
Your TWIC is a tamper-resistant biometric card which acts as both your identification in secure areas, as well as an indicator of you having passed the necessary security clearance. TWIC cards are valid for five years. The issuance of TWIC cards is overseen by the Transportation Security Administration and the Department of Homeland Security.
