Good morning ladies, I'm in NM, failed 2 DOT tests, 1 left, then I have to wait 1 yr & repay school again.Id feel way more comfortable if I had a tad more help w/maneuvers, and taking turns w/o hitting curb. I've got EVERYTHING riding (no pun intended, lol), on passing and getting CDL...I'm so tired of being poor, I have no $ until Im working, I don't want to ask a guy at a truck stop to help out w/no means to pay for fuel/time,etc... nothing's free, every woman on here knows what's expected of me for any guy to help me. I don't want to do that, I'll sign a promissory note to reimburse for any time/expense for helping me out, if ANYONE is near Lordsburg NM before my scheduled DOT test 11/18/23, and have just 1hr to help, I'm learned on 10 speed at DACC Community College CDL school, which I graduated. Thank you for anyone taking the time to read this, have a good rest of your day.

CDL:

Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:

  • Any combination of vehicles with a gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 or more pounds, providing the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the vehicle being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
  • Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.

DOT:

Department Of Transportation

A department of the federal executive branch responsible for the national highways and for railroad and airline safety. It also manages Amtrak, the national railroad system, and the Coast Guard.

State and Federal DOT Officers are responsible for commercial vehicle enforcement. "The truck police" you could call them.

DAC:

Drive-A-Check Report

A truck drivers DAC report will contain detailed information about their job history of the last 10 years as a CDL driver (as required by the DOT).

It may also contain your criminal history, drug test results, DOT infractions and accident history. The program is strictly voluntary from a company standpoint, but most of the medium-to-large carriers will participate.

Most trucking companies use DAC reports as part of their hiring and background check process. It is extremely important that drivers verify that the information contained in it is correct, and have it fixed if it's not.

No, pray tell, what is that you THINK you have to do?? Most men out here are helpful and friendly and do not expect sex in return...unless you bring it up first.

The only way you can get help is to find an owner operator because all the companies I'm familiar with do not allow their trucks to be used in the way you are suggesting. I would get fired from my job if I let anybody in my truck to drive it. Several companies I have worked for do not allow passengers that have CDLs. The fact that you are trying to get your CDL puts you in the category that I would not be allowed to have you in my truck.

Your community college won't give you extra time for practice actual driving? How much are they charging you for extra time if they do?

Good luck on the 18th. Take some deep breaths before heading out and go slow....not too slow to impede traffic, but slow enough that you can judge your space and take what you need so you aren't hitting curves in your turns.

Hi, I'm sorry that you see us men in that kind of light. From a man's perspective, 95% of men would gladly leand a helping hand. Because thats who we are as a species, its in our DNA to help and provide. Without expecting sexual favors.

I don't believe a company would appreciate allowing someone else to operate their truck. Heaven forbid if anything was to happen it would fall back on the gentleman that's assigned said truck.

Anyhow, I hope a day comes that you see us men in a different light. I am sorry for what ever took place in your life for you to see us in such a negative manner. God bless, stay positive and believe, and everything will be as it should.
