Packing is hard...But here's how I do it.... I pack the very essentials first. sleeping bag (I hate em, but thats what you use when your teaming) work shoes work clothes basic underwear basic toiletries THEN I pack what I would use on "down time" when I'm not driving. laptop/tablet/kindle etc... books to read crocheting ?? its great to settle nerves....its what I use.

Theres some things that you won't think of...like wash clothes...they don't provide them in the truckstop showers. flip flops...DON"T GO BAREFOOT IN THE SHOWERS EVER !!!!! If theres a way to catch it, it will be caught in the truckstop showers....I always ask for an extra towel ( for my hair, lol) and use it on the floor..cuz they don't always have floor maps, and if they do they are really thin paper ones. Always take some good lotion for your hands..the weather will be changing as you travel from state to state, you WILL have dry skin. And try not to wear wired bras....the way you will be holding your arms, the wires will really dig in. I just opened a little spot and pulled the wire out..worked fine.

It is hard for a women to do light packing for long drive. Try to pack basic requirements like your clothes, panties and all, towel, take some medicines with you, some entertainment stuff. Don't pack unnecessary stuff which you can also get while you are on the road.

Tami, that may be true that you can buy on the road...but theres some tings that are a brand that I like, and don't like to change. also, you need to take your own wash cloth, since none of the truck stop showers have them....and that reminds me of a question I have...have you ever thought about how many people you know who don't use a wash cloth ???? This last few months I've had alot of company. And since I do all the laundry, I noticed who did an didn't use a washcloth....I was shocked !!! I was raised to use them, and wonder how people get clean when they bathe...I mean soap is ok,,,but putting it on ALL OVER with just your hand ????? nooooooooooooooooooo So whats your thoughts ladies !!!!!
