Old School I was not referring to anything you wrote. I was responding to the general attitude forming and that led to a desperate post I made entitled 'Schools and Companies' I made on the same front page.

You say ya never hear good stuff about CR England? Well most by now know I was a lease Op with another company. That company was CR England. I did two leases with them as a matter of fact. I made money with them. Enough to where I was able to buy two vehicles and a house right on the Arkansas river and paid cash for them all. Of course I ran teams with my brother and we worked out butts off to do it. CR England is a starter company. Nothing more, nothing less. They are no worse than any other starter company. And better than some in my opinion. Thing is if you are ready to learn how to drive a truck and do what you have to to get the job done then England is just as good as any other starter company out there.

As to the sexual harassment I have not seen it myself. But I would imagine that it could take place at just about every company no matter how good or bad that company is. To date I have seen new stories about almost every company out here though very few of the harassment reports turn out to be true. But trucking is not alone in that fact. Sexual harassment takes place far more times in normal jobs at home then they do in trucking. Do guys out on the road ask to hook up while out here? Sure. That happens every where including in your own hometown. I don't consider that sexual harassment. That's apart of human sexual behavior. But do they follow behind you like a puppy and bother you til you give in? No. Will you be called names that are degrading? On heck yes. Everyday but that happens to everyone at here so females can't claim that from themselves. Mainly sexual harassment takes form in the way of talk on the CB radio and there is an easy answer for that....keep it turned off. Will you be raped out here while on the road? Not likely. More likely for that to happen at home. Now I am not saying sexual harassment is right nor do I agree to it but words are really the worse thing you will have to deal with out here on the road and you had better grow a thick skin and just ignore the names and words.

I know that yes you can have these same issues in the civilian jobs as well.. but after reading some of these Ladies stories it just blew me away, but there again it is the internet and anyone can write what they want. I myself am happily married and I am not afraid to tell someone that. I have been in a lot of life situations and have never been unable to hold my own. Men will be men or boys.. That is to not knock the male population because I am sure there are plenty of females that get that urge too. I want to be a professional and not a lot lizard.. Seen lots of that as well.. I will keep my eye on the prize, and keep my mind on the job and not what is between someone's legs.. I have a husband, if I didn't want him as a husband he wouldn't be married to me period! I have no desire to look elsewhere, and I am the type that even if we fell out of love so to speak, the relationship would end before I even went looking.. That's just my two cents on the topic opinion is all! This site I have seen compared to the rest that are out there seems to have more reputable drivers not too many out to get the trucking industry. Thank you for that!

EPU:

Electric Auxiliary Power Units

Electric APUs have started gaining acceptance. These electric APUs use battery packs instead of the diesel engine on traditional APUs as a source of power. The APU's battery pack is charged when the truck is in motion. When the truck is idle, the stored energy in the battery pack is then used to power an air conditioner, heater, and other devices
