I filled out an application for Swift. Got assigned a recruiter. The recruiter sends me a bunch of paperwork to fill out. I do that. Recruiter makes me get a DOT physical. I do that. Swift makes me complete several hours of training videos online to be completed before Orientation. I do that.

I'm scheduled to go to Orientation this morning at 7am. I show up at 6:45am, in business casual clothes. Someone comes out at 7:15am to collect our licenses. We then go upstairs to a classroom. The leader goes over what we'll be doing. She leaves for a few minutes then comes back. She calls out my name and asks me to follow her to her computer in the back of the classroom. I do. She tells me that my profile has been updated to status - "Unqualified". I ask her what that could mean, if she can be more specific. She says she doesn't have anymore information and to follow up with my recruiter.

I leave and call my recruiter. She doesn't know why I became "unqualified". She sends a message to corporate. Waiting for a response.

I'm fresh out of trucking school. Very little experience, only from trucking school. The Swift job position was accepting people right out of trucking school, with zero experience.

Does anyone know why I would be "unqualified"?

DOT:

Department Of Transportation

A department of the federal executive branch responsible for the national highways and for railroad and airline safety. It also manages Amtrak, the national railroad system, and the Coast Guard.

State and Federal DOT Officers are responsible for commercial vehicle enforcement. "The truck police" you could call them.
