I will be the one training you so this is what you need to know first:

1. 1 accident and 1 ticket in past 3 years. 2. 1 year experience. 3. Day cab home every night, but need night drivers. 4. Overtime over 8 in a day, $29/hr. 5. Guaranteed 40hrs pay even if you dont work. 6. Easy drop and hook , need backers in tight lots. 7. You will be on camera so no smokers, pets, or passengers, but it is a great opportunity for new drivers to learn good habits and be protected from liars in crashes. 8. If you like routine and can maintain the same sleep schedule this would be ideal. Sleep is hard in a day cab if you rely on caffeine. 9. You will have 24/7 support from me personally for all processes. Once you know everything it is routine. 10. You will start accruing vacaction time and have 5 sick days a year and you can get vacation pay outs.

Day Cab:

A tractor which does not have a sleeper berth attached to it. Normally used for local routes where drivers go home every night.

Drop And Hook:

Drop and hook means the driver will drop one trailer and hook to another one.

In order to speed up the pickup and delivery process a driver may be instructed to drop their empty trailer and hook to one that is already loaded, or drop their loaded trailer and hook to one that is already empty. That way the driver will not have to wait for a trailer to be loaded or unloaded.
