Not sure how it would work with being in the military and over seas. It's something to be aware of and to ask about when the time comes.

Everyone without exception has to hold a normal class D license at least one full year before applying for a cdl or no school will touch them.

Well, that may be a problem for me. My IL license expired in 2008. I thought I would just renew it and after calling the IL DMV , I have already been purged from their database. So now I am in AL with no regular license. The gal I spoke with at the school I am going to attend said that it should not be a problem, at least here in AL. She said they may let me take my class D test as well as my CDL permit and endorsements tests on the same day. I will have to verify that of course. I had heard the same thing and it raised some alarms in my head. I have brought back with me an abstract letter on my driving history while overseas that includes the type and classification of license I had, how long I held the license, as well as any and all points/tickets accumulated in said time frame. Some firms have told me they will accept this and I will be showing this to the AL DMV as well. I can't imagine making a 60 year-old man that has been driving since he was a teenager wait another year to get a CDL. What would be the purpose? wtf-2.gif But I will find out soon as I am going to be taking my tests as well as getting my class D license. I'll let you all know what happens, at least for my case coming home from overseas and military related.

Also I am planning on getting married in sept 2015 and wanted to know if it was possible to get more than 4 days off at a time for that occasion . . .

Well, you are (or are going to be) a vet so you know what mortal danger is. However, if no one talks you out of it you are going to experience what REAL mortal danger is. You cannot now say you were not warned . . . rofl-3.gif

Thank you for your service . . .

You get you days off then come back to work after that. 1 day off for ever 7 days worked. But not matter how many days you work the max you can stay at home is about 7 days before you have to clean out your truck and they give it to someone else. When you return to work you will get another truck but it will be anything they can find.
