Hey ladies... just want to say hi and now much I have enjoyed browsing around the sight and forum... I got my CDL back I. 2009 and hit the road with an O/O pulling flatbed.... the original plan was for him to train me and then I would drive his solo... but, he went a little of course and decided it would be best for both of us if he and I got married and road team... the major problem with that plan was I was not attracted to him and no desire or intentions of beingin anytning but a professional driver relationship with him... so, got off the the truck...

took some home time and then got on with a small company pulling reefer... that company wasnt actually a good fit for me so I went to Werner... and things are going good for me at werner and I am happy here...

I must say this sight is very refreshing...

CDL:

Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:

  • Any combination of vehicles with a gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 or more pounds, providing the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the vehicle being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
  • Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.

Reefer:

A refrigerated trailer.

Welcome to the forum, BrenYoda !!! Its great to have experienced lady drivers in here !!! I'm a retired flatbedder..not many lady flatbedders out there...I think Redgator thinks it would be to hard on her nails...lol. We value your experience, so hang around and share your hard won knowledge !!!!
