I was told just this Tuesday 2 letters of reference family or friends.

Now I am freaked out, cause i was told that I did not need them. I guess i will call my recruiter first thing in the morning.

I would recommend calling the Academy, but as I stated in the initial post, the guy who answered the phone was no help. But, I don't see why another recruiter can't answer that simple question. It's the equivalent of getting a second opinion right? But, as the news letter that TT sent out today said, "Recruiters are salesmen".

that is very true, but i think they are also paid by how many people actually enter and complete the school/training. It seems counter productive to set people up to fail.

Also, if we choose them,...... we are not just stuck for the duration of the 13 or 26 months. Can not apply elsewhere without the 3 -5 year or 10 year employment gap! Completely stuck for awhile Yes? Thoughts? Something to think about. IDK Already stressed! Ugh.

OOS:

When a violation by either a driver or company is confirmed, an out-of-service order removes either the driver or the vehicle from the roadway until the violation is corrected.

With Swift you are under contract to pay back tuition costs not under contract to drive for them. So you can leave their school and drive for someone else but you have to pay back the full price of the school. If you drive for Swift for 13 months the school is half price and at 26 months its free. They payrole deduct 75 bucks a week from you for 13 months but they reimburse you 37.50 a week for 26 months.

It works out to be free for 26 months but you are not forced to drive for them for a year like many other programs. I know some you have to drive for a year and if you do not do exactly 1 year they stick you with the full bill.

Yes But................. Who is going to hire you with the employment gap? Your gap doesn't go away. See what I'm sayin?

well things will fall where they fall. However you have to start somewhere, cause i am makin 0 right now and if i got to work or swift then i will work for swift. Things might be different in a year and the gap will not matter because you have a year in truck.

Hey guys, just a quick update. My recruiter emailed me back saying that I'll be fine. I'm guessing that it's just as Eckoh's recruiter said, "It's an out of date thing."

Talked to my recruiter again and she said I do not need letters. I asked her specifically about it for a 4th time.
