I have decided to go with Swift and start orientation Monday Oct. 6. It will be 3 days and hopefully I can get a trainer right after that. Ready to get the wheels turning!

Orientation is a walk in the park. What terminal are you going to be driving out of?

Terminal:

A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.

Orientation is in Jurapa Valley,CA. I guess they built a new terminal there 6 months ago. Old terminal is in Fontana, CA.

Sweet man! I'm headed to school with Swift on Oct. 20th in Richmond, VA. Hopefully our paths will cross one day.

They were still working on the fuel island when I was there last. What I meant was will that be your home terminal? I find myself in JV often but I am home terminaled in Denver. Finding parking or an empty trailer is a nightmare in JV. Good luck with your training and enjoy Swift. I've been with them almost a year and think it is a pretty good outfit. Hit me up if you have any questions Bart
