Hi im new here looking in to training with usa truck

Hi and welcome to the site.... We get this question a lot and we always like to say that every company does what they offer that its up to the person if they work out or not... You can go to the (worse) company out there and if you have a positive attitude and a strong work ethic and establish a strong healthy relationship with your DM/FM and learn how the company works you will have the best paychecks and a great time working for the so called evil companies...

With all that said I'm going to give you a few links to get you pointed in the right direction.... Let's start with Truck Driver's Career Guide has a lot if info to help you decide if this career is right for you and if money is tight and you need training with almost no up front cost check out Company-Sponsored Training and is you need a slower paced training that caters to the students check out Truck Driving Schools and if you haven't started the High Road Training Program yet you should start as soon as possible to help you get a head start on the written exams for your cdl permit and here is Brett's Book which is a free online book that's filled with a lot of great stories and a great read so if you get some time check it out....

If you can't find the answers to your questions you can always ask here in the forum as there's almost always great people here to help and if you are still not satisfied with the answers you get you can always search this site with the search engine at the top of the page..... Again welcome to trucking truth

Company-sponsored Training:

A Company-Sponsored Training Program is a school that is owned and operated by a trucking company.

The schooling often requires little or no money up front. Instead of paying up-front tuition you will sign an agreement to work for the company for a specified amount of time after graduation, usually around a year, at a slightly lower rate of pay in order to pay for the training.

If you choose to quit working for the company before your year is up, they will normally require you to pay back a prorated amount of money for the schooling. The amount you pay back will be comparable to what you would have paid if you went to an independently owned school.

Company-sponsored training can be an excellent way to get your career underway if you can't afford the tuition up front for private schooling.
