Hey, I'm just about to start school on Monday at Southwest here in Tucson, and was hoping someone could give me a couple leads on good companies with terminals in Tucson (I'll drive to Phoenix and back every week if I have to I guess). Looking for a 11 western regional position, home every weekend kind of deal. I already know of eagle, DSW, reynolds logistics... Right now May trucking has what I want, but they are in Phoenix, and DSW is in Tucson, but I don't think they could get me home every weekend (I could be wrong).
Pima county one-stop career center is paying for my school (worth around 4,500) so for all you guys looking to get free school without paying it back in bondage to a company, come to Tucson :) It was a lot of paperwork and took a couple months, but obviously worth it.
O yea and nice to meet all you guys, i've been reading for a month or so now, I especially like Daniel b in Sacramento's bike blog, I'm gonna do that as well.

Terminal:
A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.
Regional:
Regional Route
Usually refers to a driver hauling freight within one particular region of the country. You might be in the "Southeast Regional Division" or "Midwest Regional". Regional route drivers often get home on the weekends which is one of the main appeals for this type of route.
