Hey guys-

Well I'm at the end of the process with Maverick Transportation right now. They've got all my employer stuff and now I'm just waiting on the "widescreen" background check. I'm not sure what all that entails besides a national criminal check and MVR. Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone knew how long those checks take. Is it like a "normal" background check that takes about a week or is it like a national one that takes a few weeks? I'm getting antsy here!!

Thanks

MVR:

Motor Vehicle Record

An MVR is a report of your driving history, as reported from your state Department of Motor Vehicles. Information on this report may include Drivers License information, point history, violations, convictions, and license status on your driving record.

HOS:

Hours Of Service

HOS refers to the logbook hours of service regulations.

Mind if.I ask who is your recruiter I've been dealing with Adam and he is great I submitted mine yesterday and got a call today. All is good but my 30 day compliance of cpap use

BMI:

Body mass index (BMI)

BMI is a formula that uses weight and height to estimate body fat. For most people, BMI provides a reasonable estimate of body fat. The BMI's biggest weakness is that it doesn't consider individual factors such as bone or muscle mass. BMI may:

  • Underestimate body fat for older adults or other people with low muscle mass
  • Overestimate body fat for people who are very muscular and physically fit

It's quite common, especially for men, to fall into the "overweight" category if you happen to be stronger than average. If you're pretty strong but in good shape then pay no attention.

CPAP:

Constant Positive Airway Pressure

CPAP is a breathing assist device which is worn over the mouth or nose. It provides nighttime relief for individuals who suffer from Sleep Apnea.

Hey Andre-

I've been talking to Jeff. He's been real nice and helpful too. Did you get your results from the background check the next day then?

Everything.came back but.my mvr. The reason is here in Louisiana we have zeroes before our license numbers I failed to put it because t isn't used here and they needed it. That's my only other hold up

Hmm, well I might have to check in with Jeff tomorrow and see what the hold up is then.
