Hi Courtney-
What you'll have to do is go to the DOT/DMW and take the 3 "written" test to get your permit. The test are General Knowledge, Air Brakes, and Combination. Once you pass all of them with an 80% or higher you can pay for your permit. There's usually no cost for the test but the permit is around 12 bucks. Good Luck!!

what this person said here in NY there was testing fees as well as permit fees so iT Def varies state to state then again NY likes to charge 3 or more times for everything

Call your dmv and ask but for the most part just Play the fees and pass 3 written test Utah is 4 tests.. Just call the dmv and they will tell you...

Hey how are you guys trucking today? Lol I have a quick and simple question! Ok, if I want to get a trucking permit (I guess that is what it's called) where can I get it from? I'm studying for the written exam on here. But confuse on how this stuff goes after I am done studying r wateva. Can someone please help me out PLEASE lol THANK YOU GUYS SO MUCH
