To the op: you need sets of wrenches and sockets, not just a particular size.as mentioned a ratcheting driver with multiple bits is handy

All of our trucks have a few tools but I also have an old ammo can with my tools.

Wire stripper/crimper Screwdrivers (I gave up on the ratcheting or interchangable tips a long time ago.) Small Sledge hammer 2-3 lbs Set of wrenches from 3/8 to 1" Set of sockets from 3/8 to 1" Needle nose pliers (for pulling those dang fuses) Vise grips 2 pair 12v test light 1 roll of teflon tape 1 roll of electrical tape 1 roll of duct tape measuring tape 25' Knife (pocket or utility) Waterless hand cleaner Tire pressure gauge Tire inflation hose (connects to the RED hose glad hand from the trailer) good for those times that you do not have air available like at a shipper or receiver.

For the winter I carry a couple of bricks and some sterno. If I break down I will at least be able to stay warm till help gets there. Thinking about getting a little buddy heater and a couple of bottles of propane instead. I always have road flares in all my vehicles, you never know when you may need to start a fire and I am not going to fail to be able to do that. Quite often I am out of cell service so I have to be able to survive in the winter until I am found.

Also I carry 1 gallon of oil and 2 gallons of water/coolant for the truck.

Shipper:

The customer who is shipping the freight. This is where the driver will pick up a load and then deliver it to the receiver or consignee.

HOS:

Hours Of Service

HOS refers to the logbook hours of service regulations.
