I am guessing this is the meet and greet thread? My name is Juelma I am from central Kentucky. I have 2 beautiful kids a 9 yr old boy and a 13 yr old girl. I was married to a trucker for 11 yrs. My dad is one and my best friend also. I am currently trying to get my CDLs. I am having struggles as you can see in my other thread. But you know the harder I work at it, the better it will feel when I get it. We was left under bad curcumstances, with bills and stuff I wasnt equipt to take on. I cryed for 2 months lost 50 lbs got up and said no more. I will do this on my own my kids deserve better. So I went to school! I will tell you this. No one deserves to be put down, mistreated in anyway. Its so much easier to hide the truth, than it is to stand up take your life back and say no more, but I did it and it felt good. I will have my CDL's, but I will always be one of you! O I am 5'3 and a little ray of hyper adhd ball of f*ckin' sunshine. Once I came out of my shell that was it for the meek quiet girl. Everyone says I am a woman of many words as you can tell. Ha! You either love me or hate me.

WELCOME LADIES !!!! Yup us women find our own way to do things that others would term impossible. Behind every successful man is a woman kickin' him in the arse to keep him movingrofl-3.gif But trucking evens the playing field. It doesn't take outside plumbing to drive a truck. AND alot of companies are finally figuring out that women drivers are a plus..why you ask ?? because women are naturally more leary of bad weather, traffic, and tight maneuvering. We do't get that cowboy attitude that guys seem to get. Heck, When I got my CDL , I slowed down !!! Never figured out why, but I don't speed anymore...not even in my 4wheeler. Lady drivers are better at shipper/receiver interactions. And we don't do stupid crap, like staying at a ***** bar, and ending up being late for our deliveryrofl-1.gif So along with our PMS, Redhead temper, and 9 inch nails...we have alot going for us !! I'm glad we have this forum for ALL the ladies of trucking....drivers, owners, and white line widows. We do better when we stick together !!!

Shipper:

The customer who is shipping the freight. This is where the driver will pick up a load and then deliver it to the receiver or consignee.
