First night in Marshfield Wisconsin. I start 7am sharp in the driver training program. I'll do my best to keep y'all up to speed. First things first. I have no roommate in the company motel! Secondly, because of the upcoming holiday I'll do my 1st week in Marshfield and the next 3 weeks @ Fox Valley Technical in Appleton Wisconsin. That's it for now. #safetyfirst

Things are great. Fast paced & exciting. Everything my recruiter Kim told me has taken place. 2 words of advice. They like to make it fun here but it's serious business. This is not a school, you are an employee and expected to put in the necessary work Secondly, start studying the PTI (pre trip inspection) it will take a lot of pressure off you. You'll understand when you get here. I'm being transferred over to Fox Valley. It's all good just to hard to explain, something about instructor availability. #safetyfirst

Good advise about the pre trip. That's one thing I have not studied yet. Glad that they like to make it fun yet professional at the same time. I'll definitely be taking it seriously and working hard to earn my keep. Keep us posted!

Does Roehl require you to get your permit before coming to training?

Does Roehl do a hair folical test? I hear that a lot of companies are starting to due extensive testing on their applicants.

Yes and a simple physical physical. Picking up 40# x 3, crouching for 20 seconds, pulling & pushing and flatbedders must climb a ladder and walk on a balance beam then lift a heavy tarp. Van guys had it easy. Just remember as soon as you pass the drug test you're an employee of the company with full pay. Not a student at a school, you be making jack, Jack!
