And the idea that all four critical events were due to tailgating or speeding is off base
😅🤣😂 sorry, but hard braking and staibility alerts are always from driving too fast for conditions. We have a couple centuries of driving experience here discussing and trying to help you. Yet you are arguing with your limited experience.
As for your advice about going to Western Express to rebuild my reputation, that's laughable. I’ve worked for them. The training there was a joke
So how long have you been driving? Now you say you were trained by 2 different companies, and you still do not understand speed control. You had to back up because you were not slowing down enough and expecting the turn.
Something I realized while training... students expected me to have to teach them traffic laws and defensive driving. No, my job was to teach them to drive the trailer. They should know stop, yeild, passing, observing.
If someone is a bad driver in a car, they are a terrifying driver in a truck.

Training times vary and in trucking there are always delays. I had issues cause i had a cat. Prime let me bringnthebcat at upgrade, but training took from Sept to Feb. And most boarders wouldnt take him for more than 45 days. Being in that position sucks.

Is there any truth to the stories of truckers being laid off by the thousands due to tariffs?
Trucking has been bad for 2 years. It is easier to blame Ttump. Did u know that Biden extended Trump's original tariffs and raised them 4 times? Bet ya didn't.
Did you know 88,000 trucking companies went bankrupt in 2023 and 8,000 brokers also? Nope. Bet ya didn't. Why? Media.
There are some companies and divisions doing really well right now, and some doing terribly. A CDL will be a job for life if you keep your record clean and always deliver on time.

I friends at both CFI and Millis. Heartland made significant changes. Greg orr retired from CFI. Changes occured at that timw.
Millis went as far as to charge drivers higher insurance premiums for not using their medical triage type of consultants.
Personally.... i think these companies are doing it to themselves. Prime does a survey every year asking what to improve. Every year the results are "more home time and better communication". Every freaking year. Hmmm

No employment history since 2005, who will hire?
Just apply everywhere. Verifiable was due to terrorism and 9/11. Trucks were used to slam into Ft Dix in NJ.
Apply everywhere... physical disabilities may heal, but certain aspects of trucking can cause re injury. Mental issues that have been solved can reappear due to the high stress of the job. You haven't worked in 20 yrs. Choosing one of the most dangerous and stressful careers may be a daunting task for you. Good luck and keep us posted.

I think it depends on the state. Asking DMV is best.

Help, My Community College Training Has Left Me In Limbo
Hi. I have been with Prime a along time. Apply once you get your CDL. They do not hire people who attmepted schooling elsewhere and quit the program.
You have a better chance at being hired once you have the CDL.

Yeah and there are reports of companies already moving to US which means flatbed will increase with construction.
Wait n see. China is having protests due to jobs being affected.
