Hirschbach DirecTV
We’ve been testing a new product which provides DirecTV to the trucking industry. We love what we see and have decided to go ALL IN!
We’ve signed a 5 year agreement to provide DirecTV in every Hirschbach Tractor at NO CHARGE to our drivers!! The complete package includes a 24" flat screen TV, DVR, and Premium service including HBO, Showtime, and Sunday NFL ticket. You will be able to record your favorite shows/sporting events and watch them when you have downtime from the convenience & comfort of your cabs.

Drive in Comfort

Hirschbach trucks are equipped with refrigerators, APUs , upgraded seats and interiors, XM-ready radios, and other convenient features such as dynamic cruise control that make your life as a driver a little bit less stressful. And we want your equipment to stay looking good. We have a monthly wash program that keeps your truck looking clean and new.
APU:
Auxiliary Power Unit
On tractor trailers, and APU is a small diesel engine that powers a heat and air conditioning unit while charging the truck's main batteries at the same time. This allows the driver to remain comfortable in the cab and have access to electric power without running the main truck engine.
Having an APU helps save money in fuel costs and saves wear and tear on the main engine, though they tend to be expensive to install and maintain. Therefore only a very small percentage of the trucks on the road today come equipped with an APU.
