Plus a post-trip inspection. It's required by the regs, and will save you some time if you find that chewed up tire or burnt out marker light so it can be fixed during your 10 hour break, rather than in the morning when you're ready to roll. You only have to log one of them (either pre- or post-trip).

A post trip is definitely recommended as well I have a pic posted on my photo list here that can show u what I mean. Silly thing was just hangin there....

Lets say that your running from omaho to Chicago...how often do you do a pre trip..list it before you drive again, at the rest area or what
