I've got a friend (and no it is not me), who wants to get into trucking. He, however, has two DUIs. The newest one according to him is 4 years old, and the other is not long before that. How long, if ever, does he have to wait to become hirable to a trucking company? Again, this is not me. I've never drank a drop in my entire life.

1 DUI still gives somebody a chance, although most companies are gonna wanna see 3-5 years removed from when the license was reinstated. 2+ DUIs makes it really tough to get a job with any company, especially the major players. Most major companies only allow 1 DUI.

If it is TWO DUIs, most of the MAJOR companies, if they would even consider it, would be 10 years or more

Smaller companies would be 3 to 5 years.

Some bigger companies will hire him if he gets a year or two experience first. However starting off there are not a lot of big ones that will hire with 2 dui less than 7 years old. Some don't allow any dui ever.
