Have you checked out TruckingTruth's Wiki on Sleep Apnea ? It has a lot of great info on the subject!
A physical disorder in which you have pauses in your breathing, or take shallow breaths, during sleep. These pauses can last anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes. Normal breathing will usually resume, sometimes with a loud choking sound or snort.
In obstructive sleep apnea, your airways become blocked or collapse during sleep, causing the pauses and shallow breathing.
It is a chronic condition that will require ongoing management. It affects about 18 million people in the U.S.
Ha ha! No I didn't know it existed. Gee zee David. Smh. Thanks again. Maybe one day I'll know something so I can pay it forward.
You are nowhere near the first or last person that has the same questions as you. Once you have done your personal reasearch to get informed on the specific subjects you will be able to pay it forward. Someone else will come along with the same questions or experience the same thing you went through.

Does anyone know what Stevens Transport is doing about the sleep apnea/bmi/neck size issue during school? I have a lot riding on getting my cdl ya know. I don't want to get sent home over this. I don't think I have any sleep issues (Other than the ole lady kicking the crap outta me) but I am a big guy. I also can't afford an expensive sleep study + equipment if it's found I have the apnea. I'm sweating this a little. More than a little. If anyone has been through Stevens cdl program and has seen this or run into this please post about it. Thanks.
