I am an owner operator and i currently reside in charlotte nc. I have lived in nashville, tn. Thinking about relocating to ga, memphis, nashville, or just stay in charlotte. The freight so far has been so-so in charlotte. Do you think any of these other states would be better. I know that tn has no state taxes which is a plus and that memphis has a hub of distribution centers but is it worth the move? Such as does the freight pay good? Any suggestions? Thanks

Owner Operator:

An owner-operator is a driver who either owns or leases the truck they are driving. A self-employed driver.

As an OO aren't you able to see load boards? I'd be looking at those and deciding based on what you can confirm yourself.

I'm a company driver and I haul a lot out of Ohio, Indiana, Illinois. I can't imagine the company would have me doing those if they weren't making good profit from it.

Good luck.

HOS:

Hours Of Service

HOS refers to the logbook hours of service regulations.
