Everything was good. 20/20 vision. Not colorblind. Blood pressure was good. Then came the urine test.....they found protein. So I said "could it be my protein shake/meal replacement in drinking right now?" She didn't know. I have to avoid drinking it this weekend and come back in Monday to re-test. She said protein in the urine is often a sign for kidney disease or diabetes...In gonna drink water too, over the next two days, and hope for the best. :(

I just read online that protein shakes do not cause protein in urine. HOWEVER, emotional stress can. Given what I've gone through a few days ago....maybe that could be it?

It very well could be. Just try to unwind and relax. I'm sure everything will be ok.

You can always spark up a doobie to relax! Just kidding!

I was told once by a nurse to drink cranberry juice 24 hours before your blood test. Grapefruit and orange juice will work well too. Just don't have any beets, they will seriously discolor your urine.

Have a nice relaxing weekend and good luck!

If you could find someone who's quite the anti-drugs, that would be me. Never smoke weed (or cigarettes or anything else) and never will. I do enjoy a glass of wine to relax tho. Obviously, can't have that before testing. : /

I'll drink plenty of water and try the cran juice...
