Ok I'm kinda curious how often does a trucking company check the status of your license after you are hired? Do they check once during orientation and that's it or do they constantly check for tickets and accidents?? I recently had an accident and was told it takes about a month before it shows on my record not sure if they meant DMV or Insurance record. If it does take a month or so and I go to orientation and not say anything and I get hired then they see it 3 or 4 months later I assume I would then be fired fir lying to them??

Dm:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.

DMV:

Department of Motor Vehicles, Bureau of Motor Vehicles

The state agency that handles everything related to your driver's licences, including testing, issuance, transfers, and revocation.

Dishonesty will get you no where. That being said, remember all accidents have to be reported. What do you think will happen if you get out there with a trainer and the company finds out? Wouldn't be surprised if they don't pull another MVR or two before and immediately after hire. Some companies will pull reports, quarterly and others , every six months. The insurance company will preform due diligence as well.

MVR:

Motor Vehicle Record

An MVR is a report of your driving history, as reported from your state Department of Motor Vehicles. Information on this report may include Drivers License information, point history, violations, convictions, and license status on your driving record.
