Anyone have any experience with this oven, more specifically have you used it onboard? How would you rate it overall?

We've used a Nu-Wave Oven in our home kitchen. I never have used one in a truck. It cooks fast and thorough. The thing is, the one I have has a plastic cover and that was never easy to clean. We haven't used it for a few years now because of that. In a truck with a bit of a limited access to large sinks it may be very hard to keep it clean. Just keep that in mind. I'm planning on installing my own small microwave in whatever truck I'm in and using that. Even then I'm going to be very careful about spatters and such. Me and my wife lived in an RV for about a year. You always have to be aware of what attracts ants. An invasion of little critters is not pleasant. Hope this helps a bit.

My aunt had a knock off one and I thought it dried meats out terribly. If you tried to reduce cooking time to prevent that everything came out raw on the inside. It could have been because it wasn't the actual nuwave, or maybe just operator error. Make sure if you get one your inverter can handle whatever wattage it'll use. Looks like it's around 1500 which means you'll probably need 3000w+ inverter to handle the surge.

As for cleaning, I use 'clorox anywhere' for all my dishes in the truck. It's safe for food surfaces and no rinsing required. Comes in a white spray bottle with a blue label, I've seen it at most big box stores for $2-3. I also use crockpot liners when I use my crockpot and it makes cleanup way easier. Dunno the practicality of using something like that in the nuwave, though.
