All information regarding company sponsored CDL is geared to US citizens, I am Canadian, dose anyone know similar opportunities in Canada?

CDL:

Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:

  • Any combination of vehicles with a gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 or more pounds, providing the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the vehicle being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
  • Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.

I really don't know anything about the Canadian side of things I'm afraid. I know Celadon has a new company-sponsored program but we don't have any information on it yet. I'm not sure if they're a Canadian company or American company but I know they do a lot of cross-border stuff.

I wish I could help you out with that. Even though I only live about 50 miles from the border outside of Buffalo, NY my knowledge ends at The Peace Bridge.
