Your first post and you are bashing a highly respected company. Not funny troll

If you notice, Michael M. has not come back. A guy just trolling out bad vibes against a company he's PO'd about.

As Anchorman and Old School point out, the OP is all "bad stuff" and no details. This isn't even good popcorn.

I vote the internet troll's thread gets deleted if details are not posted by today.

I am an experienced flatbed driver with degree and excellent safety record. Just went to orientation for Melton in Birmingham and was subjected to humiliation and ridicule by the Melton rep conducting the class. Talked to several drivers at the terminal who said they are getting ready to quit Melton. I am not a spring chicken which apparently worked against me since the younger guys got a pass on everything that I got a royal a$$ eating for - usually in front of the other recruits. Recommend staying away from this company and looking for a company that doesn't think so highly of themselves.

So I'm guessing you have nothing to add here?

Terminal:

A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.

SamTon, occasionally someone "wuz ronged" by a company, so they want to spread poison about said company. Mr Mike has not returned to clarify his first post or to read our suggestions (by cooler and/or more experienced heads). Mr Mike had nothing to contribute in the first place.

So several have suggested taking this thread off the forum and toss it into the ol' TT bit bucket.

Errol it was my way of making fun of him. Melton seems to be a great company. I'm learning you guys are pretty good at what your doing on here. Is Brett the only only on that can delete stuff?

I'll 2nd that

I bet if I felt like taking the time to, I could find this same guy / post on every other trucker forum too... He's upset about something that was probably justified and his own fault but refuses to accept it as such.

I am a Melton driver and I went to orientation at Birmingham also. I also know there have been some changes with the orientation since this post was submitted. I love this company. I am also a road recruiter now. There are upsides and downsides to every company. If you ever need questions please let me know.

BMI:

Body mass index (BMI)

BMI is a formula that uses weight and height to estimate body fat. For most people, BMI provides a reasonable estimate of body fat. The BMI's biggest weakness is that it doesn't consider individual factors such as bone or muscle mass. BMI may:

  • Underestimate body fat for older adults or other people with low muscle mass
  • Overestimate body fat for people who are very muscular and physically fit

It's quite common, especially for men, to fall into the "overweight" category if you happen to be stronger than average. If you're pretty strong but in good shape then pay no attention.
