I don't want to be an klaxon of doom or anything, but if your new to New Hampshire and you want to get your CDL beware, they will not even issue a permit to their own paper temp License, you must wait until you receive your laminated hard copy. I just moved here from Colorado went down thinking that as long as I had turned in my Colorado License and been issued a New Hampshire D/L ( not knowing I would have to wait up to 60 days!!) I'd be able to take the tests for combination, air brakes and Gen Knowledge....nope. I called the state Licensing supervisor and he was thankfully willing to help me out and let me test yesterday I now am the proud owner of a New Hampshire "Green Card" its not a permit here its a "Green Card" not sure of the why it5s just how it is. I hope this warning helps prevent another near heart attack when they tell you you'll have to wait up to 60 days to be able to take your permit tests. Dave <wtf.gif

Hey not be a downer but it gets worse from there. I'm going to school in Maine but we have a NH student in our class and our instructor is always warning him about how hard it is to get licensed there. Do you know who gives the road tests there? The State Police. They are hard a$$es for every detail. Plus on your pretrip they actually make you get under the truck on a creeper to check everything. You can't just bend down and crawl under. So from everything he keeps telling it's not easy over there. Good luck though!

Thanks for the heads up, I actually saw a state trooper doing one when I went to get my Records . Guess I really better know my stuff. In reality I'm always up for a challenge which is why I'm doing this instead of a safer, predictable career.

I'm actually right in the middle between Concord and Portland. Thanks again
