I just failed my backing portion of the skills test for the second time pretrip was good so i never got to do road skills how many times can I take the test to get my cdl? yes I need additional training was in 4 week werner sponcored school A IT failed first test waited 3 weeks came back for only 4 hands on time practice then tested again now I was told I have to wait 2 weeks for another class to open up

CDL:

Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:

  • Any combination of vehicles with a gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 or more pounds, providing the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the vehicle being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
  • Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.

What all skills test did you do? Just curious as I'm in school now and getting better but only 3 weeks left.
