I am signing with Paschall Truck Lines after I graduate from Keystone Diesel Institute. Any suggestions, concerns, or advice, about PTL?

They had a recruiter come to my school back in Dec... sounds like a decent company, but then again if a recruiter is telling you bad things they're doing a poor job... unless it's something that applies to all companies.

My only problem with them is that they don't allow cats, they'll allow a dog though. I plan to bring my cat with me trucking (till I save up to buy a house) so they would not have worked for me. I also didn't like the idea of only 5k miles driving solo with a trainer (that's like 2 weeks maybe) then 30k miles with another rookie team dispatch... imo you don't learn anything from teaming so I found that stupid but it wasn't the thing that made me say no, it was the pet policy. that's ok though as I had found plenty of other options.

all in all the recruiter made it sound decent, maybe someone else here has more info.

I learned a lot from my trainer, but I think I learned more after going solo. I feel it's because when your solo and run into a problem or situation, you have to figure it out on your own. You don't have your trainer there telling you what to do.
