I know it was not about the pay. I just wanted to put everything relevant out there. Don't want anybody going through what I went through myself.

I was a SEAL for 8 years, 2002 to 2010. 3 tours in each Iraq and Afghanistan plus all of those places I can't talk about.

I'm sure that after several years of constant separation, a few weeks at a time will be a slam dunk. Like I said, I just wanted to put everything that was relevant to a committed relationship out there.

HOS:

Hours Of Service

HOS refers to the logbook hours of service regulations.

I went twice to Iraq and twice to afghan and my wife is still beside me lol. I must have done something right huh:) our daughter is 6 so my last one in 2011 she understood what was goin on but the other ones she didn't so it was a little easier. If you have a good strong woman beside you then no amount of time or seperation or money problems will tear you apart in my opinion. Its a team effort.

TWIC:

Transportation Worker Identification Credential

Truck drivers who regularly pick up from or deliver to the shipping ports will often be required to carry a TWIC card.

Your TWIC is a tamper-resistant biometric card which acts as both your identification in secure areas, as well as an indicator of you having passed the necessary security clearance. TWIC cards are valid for five years. The issuance of TWIC cards is overseen by the Transportation Security Administration and the Department of Homeland Security.

Ryan,

Being separated from someone you care about/love is always hard no matter for how long, but at the end of the day you push through & you do what you can & make the best of it. I can tell you it's the same for me, I hate being away from my fiancee & kids as well, but I have a job to do & the time I spend with my kids & significant other when I return from this deployment would be all worth it when I get home to see them.

Hope it all works out for ya.good-luck-2.gif

PS. Where do you work at here on LNK?confused.gif
