I dream of purchasing a 70s era tractor and retrofitting it. Does anyone have any experience with this? (price/nec upgrades?) Before i just read through all the epa paperwork. Sorry if this comes up all the time. Also, i cannot say thank you enough for the highroad training, i passed all my california tests the first time for my permit and was very very knowledgable for swift school. It took most of the stress out of testing and learning at the school. Everyone was worried. Except me, ha. 2 more weeks and ill be on the road saving for my own rig. Thank you, everyone should study here. *note* there are some things that are different in ca compared to the test, but learning a few things was better than cramming 40 or so pages in 2days. Study before you go friends

Actually - it doesn't EVER come up - because this site is dedicated to new drivers entering the industry. Not to folks looking to purchase or refurb their own rig.

Sounds like a fun project though - if you're JAY LENO and you've got piles of $$ to thrown into it. ESPECIALLY if you're planning on running it in Commifornia.

So as not to appear as if your question is just being ignored - stuff like this just doesn't fall into the scope of what we do here.

Congrats on passing your tests - and getting on with Swift.

Rick
