RCW,

I see from your profile that you're a diesel mechanic. I've thought about pursuing that career path. If you wouldn't mind, I would be curious you hear your thoughts about the job? You can PM me if you don't want to discuss in the open.

No worries man I like Master Fleet Services( in Hampton Virginia) I did PMs(96 point check) transmission replacement, tires, tune ups, leveling valves, break chamber's etc. I would work 8 to 10hours a day then run road calls at night avg 40+ hrs a week. Most of my knowledge was learned hands-on and made $18.00 and hour after hour road calls at $40.00 an hour. In 2015 I made just shy of $50,000 for the year. I will miss the guy's at the shop but I have to follow my life long dream of being a truck driver. Also worked on hydraulic systems too. Form Pete's to Ford's to freight shakers to Chevy, you name it we probably worked on it. And in my opinion Master Fleet Services is the best small company to work for.

as far as my thoughts exactly well it is an always learning of new ways to make things work out on the road. Sometimes you are up for 24 straight and a lot of the work is very physical, But and awesome way to learn the ins and outs of trucks cars and just about anything with a motor
