So I started the 16 week externship program at TDDS in Diamond Ohio, we basically have 5 weeks in class by the end of week 5 we need to have our CLP , and then 5 weeks of driver training, shifting backing up etc. I passed the physical today and got a two year card and now It dawned on me that I am really going to have to learn the pretrip. So I guess my question is if anyone has gone through this program did they feel like they covered the pretrip enough during class and range time? Also any tips on studying the pretrip would be appreciated! Thanks guys!

CLP:

Commercial Learner's Permit

Before getting their CDL, commercial drivers will receive their commercial learner's permit (CLP) upon passing the written portion of the CDL exam. They will not have to retake the written exam to get their CDL.

I used note cards while I was there doing the weekend class. if Rick has any say in it he will beat the pretrip into your head. Larry is big on getting you guys to remember it also

Yeah rick is in my class now, I have him and Charlie who just started teaching 5 weeks ago.

Charlie is a good guy. I had him and Dwayne on my driving part and I had Rick in class. if you really want to learn it just ask them. they will be more than happy to help
