I am thinking about purchasing me a truck. I am not sure if I want a day cab or sleeper, but I know I want a Pete or KW. I would want something that is comfortable and pulls great. Can someone help me about what I need to look for, be aware of and what I need to do to becoming an owner operator? Most of all is it worth it? I am a company driver now, but I am not happy and looking for something bigger and better to provide for myself and family. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Owner Operator:
An owner-operator is a driver who either owns or leases the truck they are driving. A self-employed driver.
Day Cab:
A tractor which does not have a sleeper berth attached to it. Normally used for local routes where drivers go home every night.
