If you skip it they'll put a bench warrant out for your arrest. You get one skip, then they'll send you another date. If you skip that- bench warrant. You have to deal with it. I'm not proud to say I've been down this road.

The good thing is they have a lot of leeway with it. Just explain to them that it's a hardship for you. Jury duty isn't meant to cause anyone any hardship. It's tough enough surviving as it is.

I've done it quite a few times myself. Sometimes you are done and out of there before lunch, sometimes you get a judge that isn't letting anybody go for any reason what so ever. I did actually forget to show up once and never heard anything about it. I got the biggest kick out of the judge that wasn't letting anybody go though. Seemed like he had heard every excuse in the book and wasn't buying any of them. The guy was quite comical though, so I just sat there and laughed my ass off for the entire 6 hours or so. LOL!

You can be excused. Should be a number to call or web you can email. Long as excuse is real and sounds honest. They send out way morje than is needed.

Are you planning to hike the entire length? How many days hiking are you planning? I see it goes from Campo to Manning Park. Because of weather and temp, I would think you would start at Campo CA and go north. How are you going to do it?

yes the whole trail. Northbound from Campo.

As for JD I just told them my situation (when it was a month ago while I was still trucking) and was excused.
