Check into Roehl. They have a bunch of different options of home time with different fleets. I live in a very rural area and they offered me several different fleet options including 7 on/7 off, 14/7, and a couple of others and national dry van.

Hi C M

I haven't heard back from them. I contacted them I think in Dec. and weren't hiring in my zip. At that time recommend I check back when was in school. Also at that time I hadn't selected a school. That has been a bit disappointing for me that every company I've contacted either are not hiring in my zip, or only offer otr , and get back with us when you get to school. As you know here on tt you can apply by entering your zip. Two ways, one goes out to all the other is pick what companies your interested in. I've done both! Enough about me! I've been reading your post and my heart goes out to you! I know you must have hit every high and low these past few days. Sounds like this is going to be a long, lonely weekend. Just remember you got all tt with you. And that's the truth!!! (Truck Driver)

OTR:

Over The Road

OTR driving normally means you'll be hauling freight to various customers throughout your company's hauling region. It often entails being gone from home for two to three weeks at a time.

SAP:

Substance Abuse Professional

The Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) is a person who evaluates employees who have violated a DOT drug and alcohol program regulation and makes recommendations concerning education, treatment, follow-up testing, and aftercare.

Dry Van:

A trailer or truck that that requires no special attention, such as refrigeration, that hauls regular palletted, boxed, or floor-loaded freight. The most common type of trailer in trucking.

It's been rough I won't deny that! And being stuck in this hotel all weekend isn't helping. I miss my husband and animals and I'm just ready to get out there. But all that aside, I am so glad I decided to stay. And I would never have made the decision to stay if it hadn't been for the amazing people here at TT! I am my own worst enemy and sometimes I just need someone to say "quit whining and just DO IT!" And that's what I got.
