Should I Lease Through My Company?

Hello gents, I'm 22 I've been driving for a little over six months now as a company drover for DSW out of Tucson Arizona. Recently my company contacted me and told me of my eligibility for their lease to buy program.

It's something I'm interested in but I'm also very wary of because it's taking on a lot of overhead costs and risk with the truck and I'm worried that rather than it being a benefit financially it would end up costing more than it's worth. For a little background on it the settlements would be roughly 615 dollars a week.

For a little background I generally stay out for 3-5 weeks at a time and I average between 2200-2800 miles a week. I was hoping I could get some insight from others who have done this lease option into why it was good or bad. I appreciate it ya'll.

Wow, 7 months and this is your first post. Welcome to the ranks of participants!

Gage I think the above link will be helpful. You can also type L/O and/or O/O in the search bar found on the upper left corner of this page. Press enter and archived threads on the subject entered will be returned for you to review (there may be some redundant information). As a rule we never recommend L/O or O/O until completion of your first full year. Without getting into too much detail, you suddenly go from rookie driver to rookie driver/rookie business owner in an industry you have only just begun to understand. Trucking Truth has adopted a policy of not addressing L/O and O/O posts, focusing more on student and entry level drivers.

Good luck.
